Across the road from the Old Bodleian is the Weston Library and its own beautiful spaces. The bright and airy atrium of Blackwell Hall offers a smooth stone floor, high ceilings and a visible gallery of books. This space is one of Oxford’s largest dining spaces, and has plenty of room for drinks receptions and dancing. Guests can also enjoy the rotating display of ancient treasures in the Bodleian’s exhibitions, or drinks in the colonnade overlooking Broad Street.

For the perfect mix of history and modern, Blackwell Hall is the idyllic setting for your drinks reception and dinner. We are able to host 400 for a standing reception, or 250 can dine in luxury, still with plenty of space for entertainment, speeches on a stage and even dancing!
